Liz Mariani (she/they/lei) was born in Buffalo, New York,the ancestral lands and the traditional homelands of the Seneca Nation and The Haudenosaunee Confederacy. They earned an AS in Communications and Media Arts from Erie Community College, a BA in American Studies from The State University of New York at Buffalo and a MFA in Creative Writing with an emphasis in Poetry from Mills College. Works have been published in Lil’ Scratch Pad Press, Poem Town Randolph, The Brooklyner, Fortunates, The Buffalo News, Artvoice, Great Lakes Review, Advaitam Speaks, After The Pause, VTDigger and Two Serious Ladies. They currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area, specifically – the Lisjan Ohlone territory of Huchiun.
