The World Needs Poets

Liz Mariani (she/they) is a queer poet born in Buffalo, New York, the ancestral lands and the traditional homelands of the Seneca Nation and The Haudenosaunee Confederacy.

They earned an an MFA in Creative Writing with an emphasis in Poetry from Mills College. Works have been published in Lil’ Scratch Pad Press, Poem Town Randolph, The Brooklyner, Fortunates, The Buffalo News, Great Lakes Review, Advaitam Speaks, After The Pause, VTDigger and Two Serious Ladies. Recent readings have taken place at The Octopus Salon in Oakland, California and remotely via Nomadic Press.
